SO LIGHT BUT SO IMPORTANT UNI RUSE IN ALUMINIUM INDUSTRY
In the years to follow, Europe has to to get aluminium industry back on its feet. This is a metal that is at the core of green transitions, used in Al-air batteries, in alloys for solar panel, wind turbines, lightweight engines in vehicles... 🚗 It is undoubtedly one of the most strategical metals in transition to a green economy.
Dedicated final stages of our trainings took students from the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" to the industrial visit to ALCOMET AD, Shumen, Bulgaria. Future graduates saw how a company that is a leader in the production of aluminium products, invested in world-class technology and robotic equipment with the possibility of feedback and training, focusing on reducing carbon emissions and increasing recycling rates ♻ . They got acquainted with the implemented purification facilities for the use of water resources and the release of emissions into the atmosphere and the investments aimed at energy-efficient technologies using photovoltaic energy and gasification of production. The students realized that aiming at waste reduction and resource efficiency increase, it is possible to put up to 45% recycled aluminium into production.
We hope that the amalgam of deep tech alloy production and highly committed environmental programs thus presented to them will build the vision of the future of young entrepreneurs 👨🎓 👩🎓 .
