Our partners from POLIS University report a new study visit of their students of architecture and urban planning to one more π hydropower plant, this time the Fang-Limaj nearby LezhΓ«, Albania. Students were supervised and led by architect Klodjan Xhexhi.
This part of a series of workshops and study visits was specially designed for Deep Green Inno project purposes, introducing deep tech as the intersection of green technologies, architecture, and civil engineering π . More sustainability and durability of materials used in the hydro plant constructions is needed for increasing the already meaningful existence of these clean energy resources.
Through presentations and discussions with local experts, POLIS University students learned about the technological infrastructure of this renewable β» energy source as well as its delivering capacity at a national level. Furthermore, they also had the opportunity to see the station and the dam up close, where the turbines and water basin are located. Prof Xhexhi is a head of the Department of Architecture at Polis University, and narrowly relates his work to exploration of the design, planning, and construction of π green technologies infrastructure.
