We are delighted to share highlights and EXCITING NEWS from the 8th International Scientific and Professional Symposium held on November 9 and 10, 2023.

Prof. Suzana Gotovac-Atlagić, the Project Coordinator for Deep Green Inno Project, delivered a presentation on "Deep Tech and Green Principles: Increasing the Value of Raw Materials in Bosnia and Herzegovina." In addition, Ms. Marija Stojaković, from the University of Banja Luka, presented a poster, co-authored by Ms. Sunčica Sukur and Prof. Suzana Gotovac-Atlagić, titled "Kaolinite from Kobas Deposit in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Potential in Geipolymer Applications." Our pride in Prof. Suzana Gotovac- Atlagić and her dedicated students knows no bounds, especially as their poster clinched the FIRST PLACE in a competition that featured 38 other posters. Congratulations!

Additional information about the Symposium:The "Environmental Potentials, Sustainable Development, and Food Production – OPORPH 2023" 8th International Scientific and Professional Symposium took place at the Faculty of Technology, University of Tuzla, on November 9 and 10, 2023. The symposium drew a considerable number of distinguished scientists and experts, not only from Bosnia and Herzegovina but also from the broader region. With the theme "Investing in science is investing in one's own future," the conference aimed to showcase the latest research findings and promote the popularization of science in applied chemistry, chemical engineering and technology, food technology, biotechnology, energy, environmental protection, and agronomy.

After the symposium's inauguration, notable speakers from Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina delivered plenary presentations. The agenda also featured a diverse range of oral and poster presentations, along with a dedicated student section where students from the First and Second cycles showcased their scientific and professional achievements.
