Events organized on the national level are very important part of Deep Green Inno project and three of the Bosnian partners are eager to kick-start immediately ⚽ , in order to set the path for other partners so that we can jointly realize the IVAP.
It has been incredible 3 days in Banja Luka, packed with networking and learning. First, to rise up to the "green" 🍃 component of our project, junior teaching staff from International University of Sarajevo learned from Faculty of Sciences, University of Banja Luka two techniques: valorisation of the cellulose waste for preparation of the highly nanoporous carbons and determination of the oxidative stress in plants exposed to the toxic metal-pollution. These experiences will be than transferred to the master students at this partner institution and potentially offered to the industrial partners as the expertise in the future.
Next, the partner Innovation Centre Banja Luka organized a valuable training on the entrepreneurship. They invited three of their incubator "tenants", young and successful startups who shared their experiences with our teams which included master students and junior teaching staff. All of the partners have got plenty of information on the available resources for startup support such as the incubator and financial schemes available in Bosnia and Herzegovina. But, most valuably, young entrepreneurs shared some mistakes to be avoided at the beginnings, and their very positive spirit and strength to continue and pursue their dreams and belive in the future 🌅 .
The training was closed on the third day with the Advanced materials-themed workshop with team members as lecturers but also with two lectures by guests from diaspora (Prof. dr Prof Dusan Losic of University of Adelaide and doctoral candidate at Washington University Milomir Suvira). Their presence was voluntary, yet a great added value to our programme 🙌 .
