What an honour, our precious colleague, Dr Matteo Guidotti from the CNR team, held a talk a the 28th Session of the Conference of the States Parties. He is one of the members of the Scientific Advisory Board in Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which is highly prestigious role.
During the Conference, Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Member States reviewed the progress in implementation of different challenges. Along with analysing their role in strengthening international peace and security, they again⚠️ addressed the threat from chemical weapons use, 🧑🏿🔬 relevant science and technology developments, 🧪 promotion of peaceful uses of chemistry, and ensuring safe production and secure use of chemicals.
Our Matteo Guidotti's talk was heard by the ambassadors and delegates from the five continents of the world (more than 55 participants) and he had many questions. Deep Green Inno project and the EIT HEI Initiative were expressly mentioned by Amb. Markus Leinonen, ambassador of the EU to the International Court of the Hague and to the OPCW. Topic of the Matteo's talk was climate change and chemical industrial safety. He explained to his audience that this will be one of focal subjects during the educations and training within the project's upcoming second phase, thus contributing to the "greening" of Balkan's technologies ☘ .
The whole Consortium is very proud and happy to have Matteo onboard with us! Thank you for bringing our story to this important event and holding our project logo as the "flag" of our international team. 🌍
